Loaded Avocado Toast

  • 2 slices whole-grain or sourdough bread
  • 1 small ripe avocado
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch of sea salt and pepper
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Sliced radishes, about 6 pieces
  • 1 tbsp pepitas (optional)
  • Small handful of arugula


  1. Toast your slice of bread until golden and firm
  2. Remove the pit from your avocado. Use a big spoon to scoop out the flesh
  3. Put it in a bowl and mash it up with a fork until it’s as smooth as you like it
  4. Mix in a pinch of salt, garlic powder, and pepper
  5. Spread avocado on top of your toast
  6. Squeeze lemon juice on both pieces
  7. Add radish slices, pepitas, and arugula on top


  • To find a perfectly ripe avocado, look for ones that are dark green-black and ever so slightly soft to the touch.
  • You can also swap out the sourdough bread for a sprouted grain bread, like Ezekiel!
